The green marble of Estours or green of Estours is a Pyrenean marble found in the department of Ariege and country of Couserans, in a valley in the mountainous area near the village of Seix . This marble is characterized by an ivory color. It is a crystalline limestone highlighted by a green chlorite cement, veined, dotted with a series of green lines.

Originally from Neuchâtel in Switzerland, sculptor André Bregnard was born in Medellin, Colombia in 1944. He graduated from tthe Art School in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He participated in numerous group exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad , and several biennials. His sculptures are part of the collection of the cities of Geneva, Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds in particular.
